PRIDE MONTH AT ADF!

OUR COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION*

All Day Fit recognizes that over the past few decades, the LGBTQ2+ community, as well as people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, have received increased protection and inclusion. This hard work is well worth celebrating, but it is not nearly complete.

While diversity and inclusion have climbed fitness and wellness company agendas, many LGBTQ2+ continue to face discrimination and discomfort at the gym. When it comes to true inclusion, everyday interactions with peers and leaders matter as much as organizational policies or formal processes.

All Day Fit is committed to education that will in turn start us on the path of building an inclusive foundation and community.

ZOOM PRIDE

There are a few small things you can do this month and ongoing to show your support to the LGBTQ+ community.

Share your Pronouns!

Pronouns are integral to who we are, and we share pronouns because we want to avoid assuming someone’s pronouns based on factors like appearance. By sharing our own pronouns routinely, we encourage others to do the same and demonstrate that we understand the importance of sharing pronouns. Using someone’s correct pronouns is an important way of affirming someone’s identity and is a fundamental step in being an ally.

The All Day Fit Team will be sharing our preferred pronouns on social media, in our email signatures and in our Zoom Profiles going forward.

What are some steps you can take to share your pronouns?

Change Your Zoom Background!

Check out this article that has put together Pride-themed backgrounds to use over Zoom and how to add them to your Zoom background.

The All Day Fit Team and coaches will be using these as much as possible during the month of June.
