Congratulations to Colleen, our January Client of the Month! It’s challenging to find the words to adequately describe how many massive hurdles Colleen has overcome in the past seven months.

In July, Colleen started partner training with her good friend Alanna. (Extra special shoutout to Alanna who has been an absolutely AMAZING training partner!)

When Colleen walked into training, there were many topics we found ourselves addressing. First of all, we were training at 6am and she was self-proclaimed “NOT a morning person.” Second, as a particularly picky eater, she had trouble eating healthy foods and establishing good habits in the nutrition department. On top of all of that, she has scoliosis and a hypermobile body, which makes finding stability and building strength in the gym especially challenging.

With all these things to focus on, learn about, and address, I had to ask Colleen to trust the process and to take each obstacle one small step at a time. Change doesn’t happen overnight, especially when you’re talking about lifestyle changes and habits. It happens slowly, one layer at a time.

I am unbelievably happy that she stuck with the process. Slowly but surely, she chipped away at all of it. She enrolled in All Day Fit’s nutrition mentorship program and outsourced to practitioners when needed. (It is one of the best signs that a client in dedicated when they take the time to go see other health professionals!) Along the way she has taken the wins and the setbacks in stride and has learned SO MUCH about her body. She has laid foundations that have fundamentally changed her life.

Of course, the process isn’t over, but I am very proud of everything Colleen has accomplished up to this point. I can’t wait to see where the rest of her journey takes her!
