Cook Time – 10 minutes

Servings – 2-4

Ingredients

    • 1/8 cup Miso Paste
    • 1/8 cup Mirin
    • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce or Tamari
    • 2 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
    • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
    • 1 Thumb of grated Fresh Ginger
    • 3 Green Onions (chopped)
    • Black Sesame Seeds (Optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or mason jar combine the miso paste, mirin, tamari, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil and ginger and whisk well together. Take your salmon fillets on a shallow dish and pour half of the mixture over top of the salmon to soak for 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, place a cast iron pan over a medium high heat and season with a high temperature oil such as coconut or avocado oil. Once nice and hot, place the salmon skin side up and sear the pink part of the salmon to seal in the juices. Cook for 3-4 minutes and flip to the other side. start spooning more of the mixture on top of the salmon while the other side cooks. I personally like my salmon cooked medium rare but you can keep on longer if you want to cook it through.
